Office Updates

In honor of World Hearing Day 🌎 on Sunday, March 3, Dr. Dusty participated in a “Better Together Simultaneously” hearing aid fitting event across Colorado and fit donated hearing aids on two qualifying individuals.

This event was part of her volunteer work with Hearing The Call – a non-profit organization aimed at providing quality and affordable hearing healthcare to those in need.Β

Pictured above is hearing aid recipient, Ramiro (center), with Dr. Dusty and her son, Brody. Ramiro was overjoyed to hear all the sounds of life he had been missing out on and is thrilled to be reconnected to the people and moments that matter most.Β

Surely most of us have driven up to the mountains for a skiing or sightseeing adventure πŸ” or flown in an airplane ✈️. Did your ears become plugged as you climbed higher in altitude? Feel like you need to “pop” your ears? Maybe you’ve had a bad cold and you feel like you cannot hear as well and there is a feeling of pressure or pain in your ears. 🀧

All of these situations are examples of how changes in pressure occur in the ear and what the resulting symptoms may be. While it is not necessarily a pleasant experience, it is usually temporary and there are home and over-the-counter remedies available to help alleviate your symptoms. πŸ₯±

For lonstanding pressure or pain in the ears, please seek medical guidance from an audiologist or your physician.
